Yo! Sushi (post#2)

The Yo!Sushi Logo

Inorder for me to be familirised with the brand that I am designing for, I've made some research regarding the Yo! Sushi Brand. Hopefully when I made this research, it will give some ideas on how am I going to design my mural.

During this research, I've discovered that...

Yo! Sushi, founded by Simon Woodroffe in 1997, is the most popular sushi brand in the country. It is privately acquired by lead investor Quilvest and Yo! Sushi Management team. Each costumer is provided with a unique dining experience as it introduced a brand new concept of delivering food to public via a conveyor belt. It had been awarded as the Best Restaurant Design at the R510 Awards in 2009 and currently operates 59 restaurants in 5 countries; 44 in the UK and 15 franchised overseas in Ireland, Russia, Malaysia and the Middle East. By the end of this year, this Japanese restaurant group intends to have a total of 100 units across the globe.

Each restaurant serves over 90 Japanese inspired cooked foods (with menu catering for all types of eaters) that are freshly prepared by kitchen ninjas in front of the customers. Some of these include sashimi, tempura, salads, hand rolls and desserts.

Dining in to one of the Yo! Sushi branch is fun and exciting as it allows people to view and select any dish they want from the moving belt (price ranges from £1.70 to £5) while drinks such as wine can be ordered via call buttons. Each dish is colour and price coded which makes it easy for the consumers to monitor the amount of the food eat. After the meal, the bill will then be based on the number coloured dishes that have been used.

Whether it's for dine in, take out or delivery, every customers can assure that everything they eat is fresh. All sea foods served are from reputable fisheries and are supplied to restaurants within 72 hours of harvest, 6 days per week. Also, there is no dish that stays long on the conveyor as they are being changed every 2 hours.

Other services they provide includes:
Gift Vouchers
Booklet that is packed with nutritious recipes
Cookbook that makes possible for the public to make sushi even if they're at home,
In the case of special events, everyone can hire their portable conveyor belt.
They also have sushi school class where people can learn how to make sushi.
Just like any other restaurant, Yo! Sushi also offers delivery and takeaway services.
